Next performance: Our 2020 season kick-off concert, “Women of Music” at Delano United Methodist Church, has been postponed until a future date. Watch for updates!
The Delano Community Band is an all-volunteer, inter-generational concert band based in Delano, Minnesota. Established in November 2017, band members have ranged from a (very talented) 7th grader, to those who’ve been performing for over 50 years. This diversity of experience allows us to offer growth as well as performance opportunities for musicians.
We rehearse each Tuesday from 7:00-8:40 PM in the Delano High School band room.
We cover virtually every major genre of western music. Our repertoire spans traditional concert band fare, renditions of early music, adaptations of orchestral pieces, and contemporary works for band.

We welcome musicians who enjoy performing!
We’re always interested in musicians who play any of the following instruments:
Flute | Oboe | Bassoon | Bb Clarinet | Alto Clarinet | Bass Clarinet | Alto Saxophone | Tenor Saxophone | Baritone Saxophone | Trumpet (Cornet) | French Horn | Tenor Trombone | Bass Trombone | Euphonium | Tuba | Percussion (including mallets)
You’re invited to sit in on a rehearsal, or even participate in a performance with us! At this point, we do not require auditions. However, to facilitate rehearsal planning, we do need to know when you wish to participate with us. That will:
- let us know when to expect you
- tell us what instrument you play
- give us an opportunity to answer any immediate questions you may have
