History: 

The Delano Community Band was founded in 2017 by Amy and Pete Johnson. The original ensemble consisted of about 20 community members who volunteered to come together and make music in a local concert band setting.

Eric Stewart served as the band’s first director from 2017 to 2019. He was succeeded by David Hood, who led the group from 2019 to 2021 and played a significant role in promoting the band.

In the fall of 2021, Mike Dailey was appointed as the band's director. Under his leadership, the Delano Community Band has grown to nearly 80 members and developed into a dynamic concert band and a destination for local musicians.
